Description
NOPHELIS FORTE TABLETS is a combination medicine used to treat non-severe malaria when certain other antimalarial medications become ineffective. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients with a severe or complicated malaria. Also, it should not be used for malaria prevention.

USES OF NOPHELIS FORTE TABLETS
- Acute uncomplicated malaria
- This medicine is used to treat acute uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum strain of the parasite. It may also be used for the treatment of malaria that is resistant to other medicines such as chloroquine or sulphadoxine-pyrimethamine combinations.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Nophelis Forte is to be taken with food.
HOW NOPHELIS FORTE TABLETS WORKS
Nophelis Forte is a combination of two antiparasitic medicines: Artemether and Lumefantrine, which treats malaria. These medicines work by increasing the levels of haeme in the blood, a substance toxic to the malarial parasite. This kills the parasite and stops the infection from spreading.

How to take Nophelis Forte?
Take Nophelis Forte with food, exactly as prescribed by your doctor. This medicine is usually taken twice a day with a meal for 3 days, or as directed. On your first day of treatment, take your first dose with food, followed by your second dose 8 hours later. Then for the next 2 days, take one dose in the morning and one dose in the evening. Patients should be encouraged to resume normal eating as soon as food can be tolerated, since this improves the absorption of the medicine.
